Here at Red Carpet Doodles, we believe that all dogs should live a life as someones beloved family member, whether they will be used for breeding or not.  In an effort to continue to expand our breeding program, and to ensure all of our breeding dogs live a pampered life with their very own forever family, we have implemented a Guardian Home Program.  Here at Red Carpet Doodles, all our dogs live in our house as our family dogs.  In order  for us to continue with our breeding program, all future breeding dogs need be placed under our Guardian Home Program, since we never want to house our dogs on our premises in a kennel environment. We just don't believe dogs should have to live that way.  Our Guardian Home Program allows for local families to have a “pick of the litter puppy”, or top notch adolescent/adult breeding dog for co-ownership with us. The Guardian Home puppy or dog is part of the Guardian Home’s Family forever, while the breeding rights are retained by Red Carpet Doodles. Once the Guardian Dog has completed his/her breeding career, he/she will be spayed or neutered at our expense and the dog will remain a forever pet of their Guardian Family!  We do not just give our Guardian dogs or pups away. History has proven that this MAY attract some people wanting to be guardians for the wrong reason.  The cost of a Guardian Home dog/puppy requires a start up cost of only $250.00 regardless of the gender, color, or size of the puppy/ dog and that includes food & treats to get you started!  Plus, you will be paid a stipend for each litter born!  When the Guardian puppy/dog has completed its breeding career, we will spay/neuter the dog at our expense as a way of saying “thank you” for participating in our Guardian Home Program & full ownership will be signed over to you.

  
​As a guardian family, you will be responsible for maintaining the health of the dog and providing a loving home. When the dog reaches breeding age, any health testing for breeding will be done at our expense. If we find the dog is not up to the proper breeding standards, full ownership will be signed over to you as the guardian family and you will be required to have her spayed. If the dog does enter the breeding program, once retired, she will be spayed at our expense and full ownership will be given to you at that time. We typically retire our guardian homed dogs at 6 years of age. If owner is unwilling to commit to breeding the girl for the span of 6 years each time she comes into heat, owner will forfeit the dog to us. To qualify as a guardian home, you must live within 2 hours (or so) away and must be willing to travel to bring the dog to us when needed.
